Black Premium Tea Bags

Alstar Black Tea comes from carefully plucked tender two leaves and a bud from the high grown Southern slopes of Mt. Kenya and Highlands of Great Rift valley. The tea is a product of gently rolling through Orthodox method producing strong, robust neatly twisted, ‘whole leaf’ that yields a smooth and clean finish.

The tea has high levels of theaflavin which makes it a good thirst quencher. Other health benefits include presence of tannins which fights viruses, tooth decay and has therapeutic effects on digestive tract. The tea has polyphenols which reduces inflammation.

The tea has an outstanding Kenyan character and when brewed, it artificially open to a whole leaf giving a bright full-flavored liquor, rich red in color and yet refreshingly light in body with a slight fruity taste.

The tea best served hot as an all-day favorite and takes well to milk and sugar evocative of a breakfast tea.
